RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has hinted that Timo Werner could leave the club in the summer for Liverpool, PSG or Borussia Dortmund.

Werner has established himself as one of the top strikers in Europe through his performances for Leipzig. After a disappointng World Cup, Werner put in a fine performance for Leipzig this season, scoring 19 goals and providing 11 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions as his team s assured of Champions League football next season.

Werner has attracted interest from several clubs like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and PSG. When asked if Werner might move to Bayern in the summer, Leipzig CEO said, Maybe [Timo] doesn’t even want to go to Munich. Maybe he would rather join Tuchel in Paris, Klopp at Liverpool or Favre at Dortmund.”

Mintzlaff hinted at a move for Werner to three clubs but the reason why Liverpool will get a big boost is because they have been linked to a move for Werner for a while now.

Liverpool have a very lethal attacking trio in Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. However, they need more depth in their bench like Manchester City have and adding Werner to Liverpool’s squad could be a first step in attaining City’s level of squad depth.
