Liverpool have been handed a massive boost in their chase for FC Red Bull Salzburg striker, Munas Dabbur.

The 26-year-old is being monitored by La Liga side, Valencia as well but according to Tutto Mercato, Dabbur prefers a move to Anfield. Now it remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp will strongly pursue a deal for the Israeli striker.

Dabbur has run into a rich vein of form this season, netting the ball 20 times in 30 appearances for Salzburg while also furthering 6 assists. His contract with the Austrian side is set to run till the summer of 2021.

Dabbur’s career started off in his home country with Macabbi Nazareth and Macabbi Tel Aviv. He later earned a move to Swiss side, Grasshopper before getting traded to Salzburg in 2017. The centre-forward reportedly admires Jurgen Klopp’s methods and wants to make a permanent switch to the Merseyside.

Liverpool currently have Roberto Firmino filling in the striker role with back up options in Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi. The Reds are at the very top of the Premier League table extending their lead to 7 points over Manchester City’s after this weekend’s 0-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Klopp has already splashed massive amounts to bring in Xherdan Shaqiri, Fabinho, Alisson Becker and Naby Keita in the summer window. The German boss is still looking to make additions into the attacking lineup but has his eyes set on more high profile names than Dabbur.
