Summer target Eberechi Eze speaks about Liverpool rumours

Liverpool is closely monitoring Eberechi Eze’s position as they have entered the hunt to recruit the Crystal Palace player this summer. Mick Brown, a former head scout for Man United and Blackburn who is still very well-connected in the industry, told Football Insider exclusively that the 26-year-old has the capacity to go to a top team.

The midfielder’s reliability and capacity to step up when his side is having trouble, however, are questioned, which may deter clubs from making a deal. Brown previously stated to Football Insider that Arsenal “would love” to sign Eze this summer in an effort to bolster their midfield with another game-changing player.

As interest in the England international continues to grow ahead of the summer transfer season, Tottenham has also expressed interest in Eze. Liverpool would probably look at other targets before making a move, but they think he would be an improvement over their present choices.

Since Football Insider reported in October that Liverpool is interested in signing Eze, the Crystal Palace star has been admired by the club for a long time. Now, after more than ten years at Manchester United during their most successful era, Brown, who has a plethora of knowledge in top-level player recruitment, stressed the midfielder must show himself before earning a huge move away.

He told Football Insider, “Liverpool is one of the clubs interested in Eberechi Eze.” Like other teams, they have been monitoring his performances and may make a move if he decides to leave Palace this summer.

“He’s a very good player if you can pass the ball to him in risky situations.” The difficulty is that if the game is not in your favor, he may end up becoming a passenger. Teams like Liverpool and Arsenal will be concerned about it because they want players who they know will perform consistently. They have been keeping an eye on him as a player, and he has the skill to advance.
