According to reports, Matheus Nunes, a Portuguese international midfielder for Wovles, has begun the transfer process to Liverpool

Through his Substack blog, Fabrizio Romano recently informed CaughtOffside that Liverpool was interested in signing midfielder Nunes from Wolves.

Despite having only recently joined Wolves, perhaps as a result of their poor Premier League performance this year, he may already be leaving the club. Journalist Ben Jacobs recently gave Redmen TV an interesting news for Liverpool fans who wish to witness Nunes practise his craft at Anfield.

“I believe there is substance to it, and according to sources, Liverpool appears to have begun the process of trying to resolve this one in anticipation of the summer. The only issue is that Nunes is new at Wolves and they also have a new manager, which could alter the scenario, according to Jacobs, regarding Liverpool’s interest in Nunes.

It must be considered a top priority for Liverpool to sign a new central midfielder in the summer given that Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all have contracts expiring at the end of the current campaign.

Liverpool may need to compile a lengthy list of targets because it won’t be simple to persuade Wolves to let go of Nunes so soon after they signed him.
