Liverpool legend declares Szoboszlai the Premier League’s best in his position
The legendary Gary Gillespie of Liverpool has praised Reds midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai as the best player in his position in the Premier League, expressing amazement at his outstanding abilities. Arriving at Anfield in the summer, the Hungary international has already established himself in Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Szoboszlai, who became available for acquisition owing to his release clause from RB Leipzig, has become a mainstay in Liverpool’s midfield trio after fitting in easily. His most recent performance, which included two key assists in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, was much praised.
Remembering that he had underestimated the Hungarian’s skill when Liverpool signed him, Gillespie, a media representative who attended the game, said he was shocked by Szoboszlai’s brilliance.
To be honest, when we signed him I didn’t realise how good he was, but since watching him, he just does everything you want in a midfield player.
“He’s got the right energy, he’s got the fitness, he’s got the strength, he’s got the pace, he’s got an eye for goal, he can play people in.
“All round he’s been absolutely outstanding so far
“One of, if not the best, midfield player in the Premier League so far this season.”
The midfield makeover at Liverpool has been greatly aided by Szoboszlai’s presence, and Klopp will be delighted to see him continue to develop as the Premier League season progresses.
Szoboszlai is certainly a guy to watch as Liverpool looks to win more games this season as to his extraordinary abilities and recent recognition as the best in the league in his position.
