In a recent print edition, SportBILD reported that Liverpool are in the race to land Red Bull Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer. The Reds desperately need a midfielder and if they fail to sign Bellingham which is likely to happen, they can plan for this player from Leipzig.
It has been added that the Premier League giants will have to rival Bayern Munich in pursuit of the Austrian talent next year.
Laimer had an injury-plagued season at the Red Bull Arena. The 25-year-old has played six matches for the Bundesliga club.
The Salzburg-born sensation is under contract at Leipzig until the end of this season. Liverpool could potentially land him on a cut-price fee this January or sign him as a free agent next summer.
The Austrian midfield ace could be a good choice for Klopp. He can sense the danger quickly to earn the ball back for his team and is a good dribbler with the ball as well. Liverpool are in dire need to add more quality to their midfield.
