The Reds will definitely hire a new center-back this summer after Joel Matip left Anfield after his contract expired. The Reds’ top transfer target is reportedly Juventus defender Gleison Bremer, according to the most recent rumours.
The dependable defender is valued at £50.5 million by the Italian powerhouses, but Liverpool is reportedly considering making a player-plus-cash deal because they are having trouble affording that sum.

It was reported earlier this month that Liverpool’s primary defense target is Juventus star Bremer. During the last two seasons, the 27-year-old has made 83 appearances for the Turin squad. The club is eager to get Bremer’s services, and a source from Spain claims that Liverpool is considering signing him this summer. The price of this deal is its main disadvantage, though.
Bremer has been among Serie A’s top defenders for a considerable amount of time; it is unclear what the terms of the agreement would be if Liverpool decides to pursue him in the end. In his defense, Slot presently has Ibrahima Konate, Jarell Quansah, and Virgil van Dijk as possibilities.
