Moises Caicedo, a midfielder for Brighton, is “certainly one to keep an eye on” in Liverpool’s transfer pursuit

Over the course of the January transfer season, the Reds have been linked with a number of midfielders, with the 21-year-old being one of the most prominent names cited as Jurgen Klopp looks to add reinforcements this month.

Following his World Cup achievements for Ecuador, Sky Sports News revealed last week that Liverpool was considering hiring the Ecuadorian international to play for them at Anfield.

Due to his regular Premier League performances, Brighton is aware of potential bidders, and Chelsea is also said to be “keeping an eye” on his status. The situation has changed in the past few days as a result of Caicedo fueling rumours that he would be moving to Merseyside. According to The Liverpool Echo, the midfielder liked a tweet that said “Liverpool awaits you champion” in Spanish.

Further illustrating their willingness to add additional bodies in the park’s middle, the English giants have also been connected with a move for Teun Koopmeiners.

However, any agreement to bring the Brighton star in won’t be inexpensive. Last month, The Sun reported that the price for acquiring the coveted talent may reach £70 million.
