Liverpool is not aiming top-four this season

Liverpool is down to ninth place in the league standings.

This has been a difficult season for both Liverpool and Thiago Alcantara as he struggled for form this campaign.

The Reds have managed to garner only 29 points from 19 games this season and are now ten points away from league-leaders Arsenal.

But they are in a great position in the Champions League and FA Cup and midfielder Thiago Alcantara still remains optimistic about this campaign.

The Spaniard believes he hasn’t performed well this season and his team’s form is down to the way how the last campaign ended.

He said: “We are in the reality to go game-by-game and get points to help us to be as high as possible.

“Our aim is the next game – not to be in the top four or the Europa League, just the next game.

“We are in a position for the Champions League and FA Cup. We are not in the position we wanted in the Premier League but still we are there and that’s good.”
