According to journalist Ben Jacobs, who spoke with GIVEMESPORT, Liverpool is interested in signing Crysencio Summerville, who is expected to depart Leeds United this summer. Following the retirement of longtime manager Jurgen Klopp, the Dutchman assumed leadership at Anfield earlier this month.
Jacobs claims that Summerville whom Sky Sports analyst Michael Dawson previously declared unplayable has drawn interest from Liverpool. If they are unable to sign their top targets, other clubs may enter the race, but the writer believes a sum of around £30-35 million might be sufficient to get the player in the next window.
Liverpool to sign Dutch Duo Lutsharel Geertruida and Crysencio Summerville
In recent years, Lutsharel Geertruida has emerged as one of the Eredivisie’s most in-demand defenders. The Rotterdam native has had constant growth since making his debut for Feyenoord’s first team. The 23-year-old had a fantastic 2023–24 season, making 47 appearances across all competitions and contributing nine goals and five assists.
After an outstanding 2023–24 season with Leeds United, when he was a productive winger for the Whites, Crysencio Summerville’s stock has skyrocketed. The 22-year-old was outstanding all season long, scoring 31 goals in 49 games across all competitions while dishing out 10 assists and finding the back of the net 21 times. With their exploits, Geertruida and Summerville have drawn interest from a number of prestigious clubs throughout Europe, including Liverpool.
