Liverpool keen on signing Kyle Walker from Manchester City this year

Kyle Walker of Man City has apparently attracted interest from Liverpool, but a transfer seems improbable given Walker’s desire to remain at the Etihad

The Daily Mail claims that the England star has begun contract extension negotiations with the Premier League champions despite intense interest from Bayern Munich.

The 33-year-old is reportedly a fan of Thomas Tuchel’s and is being courted to join the Bundesliga; if the Man City star decides to go, the reigning German champions appear to be his most likely destination at this time.

According to the report, Liverpool is also interested. However, it would be challenging to see a deal between the Premier League rivals. However, this might give Jurgen Klopp a clear indication of how to organise his team for the upcoming campaign.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s outstanding performances in the position during the last games of this season may suggest that he may be utilised as a midfielder next season if Liverpool makes inquiries about elite right-backs.

Walker is not likely to be acquired by the Reds, but if they are successful in luring another right-back to Anfield this summer, supporters might get to watch Alexander-Arnold transition into a full-time midfielder for the upcoming season.
