Liverpool are reportedly looking the front-runners in the race to sign Norwich City starlet Todd Cantwell this summer. Norwich are bracing themselves for offers for Cantwell at the end of the season even if they manage to beat the drop. Daniel Farke’s side find themselves bottom of the Premier League but have given Liverpool two of their toughest matches this season.
Manchester United are also mentioned as being among the suitors for Cantwell after his impressive breakthrough season, but Liverpool seem the favourites to sign the €36 million-rated ace, according to The Athletic. The 21-year-old looks a player with a big future in the Premier League, and it would be interesting to see how he would get on at a bigger club after standing out at Norwich.
Cantwell was particularly impressive in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp’s side are keen on signing the 21-year-old this summer. The Norwich starlet made his England Under-21 international earlier this season and has been heavily linked with a move to United as a result of his fine form.
