Mateusz Musialowski’s agent drops transfer hint as contract nears end

Mateusz Musialowski’s agent, according to a recent publication, has hinted at prospective transfer moves as the young forward’s contract expires.

Despite being dubbed the ‘Polish Messi’ in his homeland, the 20-year-old has failed to break into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team lineup, with young players like Ben Doak and Kaide Gordon taking precedence.

Musialowski’s outstanding 2023-24 season with Liverpool under-21s, in which he scored six goals and provided two assists in nine appearances, caught the interest of various clubs.

His agent, Cezary Kucharski, told the Polish newspaper Przegld Sportowy that interest is coming from clubs not just in Poland, but also in Belgium and Holland.

Kucharski said: “We signed a contract with the condition that I would not persuade him to return to Poland. And I don’t want to persuade him to return to Poland, but he has the most offers from his homeland.

Most clubs want him. I think it should go to the Netherlands, Belgium, or maybe Switzerland.”

During the summer transfer window, the Polish international was on the edge of joining TSV Hartberg in the Austrian Bundesliga, but the deal fell through.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, there is much speculation about Liverpool’s position on offering Musialowski a contract extension.

Musialowski’s future remains uncertain as the January transfer window approaches, as football fans await news on whether the gifted forward will continue his career with the Reds or seek new options in Belgium or Holland.
