Liverpool may recall Fabio Carvalho from his loan spell at RB Leipzig

Fabio Carvalho will see his contract expire in the summer of 2027.

As per the reports of Liverpool Echo, Fabio Carvalho might be recalled to Liverpool during the January transfer window. The Reds are planning to bring him back from his loan spell at RB Leipzig. He had insufficient playing time and might explore other loan possibilities.

The Englishman had a poor loan spell at the Bundesliga. He struggled to secure regular starts at RB Leipzig. He made 15 appearances for the German club but he didn’t score or provide an assist across all competitions.

The 21-year-old will see his contract expire in the summer of 2027. It would be logical for the Reds to seek another loan move for him. Carvalho is an attacking midfielder. He plays as a left-sided winger or a box-to-box player.

Fabio Carvalho lacks the experience to anchor their midfield like summer signings Alexis Mac Allister or Dominik Szoboszlai. He would likely make a move to Fulham so he can get regular time at Craven Cottage.

The Englishman scored ten goals and provided eight assists in his final season before joining Liverpool. He has the potential to deliver and his new spell in 2024 might help him.
