Adam Lallana has plenty of options and could quit Liverpool to join Southampton, according to Danny Mills.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed earlier this month that the midfielder will not feature in any of the games this campaign and will just leave the club as a free agent.
The 32-year old joined the Reds in 2014 and made 178 appearances for the club.
He signed a short-term extension to see out the season with the Reds but has not featured in any of the games since football restarted.
Danny Mills reckons that Lallana still has a lot to offer to a top-tier side now that he has gotten himself back to shape.
Speaking to Football Insider, Mills said: “I think he’ll have plenty of choices.
“He’s now back at full fitness – that’s really why he hasn’t played an awful lot.
“He could even go back to the likes of Southampton. There’ll be loads of clubs looking to sign him up on a one or maybe a two-year deal, because he’s got quality.
“He knows how to keep the ball, he can create. It’s not long ago that he was in the England squad and playing for England, so he’s still there or thereabouts. He’ll have plenty of options.”
