If Liverpool wants to sign midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion, they “need to push” through with the deal

In the forthcoming transfer season, Jurgen Klopp will want to improve his options in the centre of the field for his Reds team. On Saturday night, Romano tweeted that the club might be getting closer to reaching a personal agreement with the World Cup winner.

The 24-year-old Mac Allister is interested in moving to Liverpool, and May is seen as a crucial month in determining his future. Although the player’s desire to switch teams makes it easier for the Reds to sign him, according to the same publication, Anfield sources have denied that a £70 million deal is close to closing.

Given that he is aware of “the policy” of the team, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has suggested that Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo might leave the Amex Stadium this summer.
But as Liverpool looks to rebuild this summer, James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will all be departing the Merseyside club at the end of the current campaign.

The Reds’ prospects of signing Mac Allister are “looking good” going into the summer window, according to transfer insider Dean Jones, who most recently spoke with GIVEMESPORT. Romano, though, asserts that Liverpool must keep up the pressure on him to sign with them in order to prevent other clubs from entering the competition. If Mac Allister signs a deal at Anfield, all indications are that he will be a part of Klopp’s regular starting lineup.

The World Cup champion has already shown this season in the Premier League that he is capable of performing at a high level, and he could inject some additional energy into an ageing midfield. The South American would considerably lower the Reds squad’s average age because Fabinho, Thiago, and Jordan Henderson are all between the ages of 29 and 32. Mac Allister’s recruitment would also suit with Liverpool’s strategy of having high-intensity midfielders at a young age, as the club is planning a midfield makeover this summer.
