Liverpool Not Planning Major Business In January But Join Race For German Wonderkid

Liverpool have taken notice of German wonderkid, Karim Adeyemi who also being monitored by Arsenal and Barcelona.

The forward is currently on loan to RB Salzburg sister club, Leifring and has collected 8 goals in 13 appearances this season.

Barcelona academy director, Patrick Kluivert have been keeping tabs on the youngster for a long time. Adeyemi’s talents are finally shining through as he caught everyone’s attention with 3 goals in the UEFA Youth League for Salzburg.

That was where Liverpool got see Adeyemi’s abilities first hand. Jurgen Klopp is known to always promote youth talent and it would not be a surprise to see the Reds make an official offer in January. Barcelona can promise Adeyemi a place in their B side before giving him a shot in the senior team.

Salzburg originally spent £2.8m on acquiring Adeyemi and now, his value has shot up to over £15m. He previously trained in the Bayern Munich academy and has also been capped at U16 and U17 levels for Germany.

Klopp stated Liverpool are not planning any serious business for January. He said, “For us it is always the same. We don’t speak about it but we are pretty much always ready to do something if it will help us.

“If not, then not. We will see. I think the summer window is more difficult because of the different moments when it closes in Europe. It only hurts English clubs – we can only buy until a specific moment, other clubs can buy into the season.”
