Liverpool pay their respects to NBA legend Kobe Bryant

On Sunday morning, Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and a couple of other passengers, including the pilot, passed away in a helicopter crash.

The helicopter was believed to have gone down and caught fire while the passengers were in it. Bryant and his 13-year old daughter, along with Orange Coast College baseball coach John Altobelli, and also his daughter Alyssa and wife Keri.

Star American basketball player Kobe Bryant played as a shooting guard with the Los Angeles Lakers, until he retired.

Needless to say, it came as a great shock to everyone not only in the basketball world, but also in the football world. And around the globe, everyone has been grieving since.

Liverpool’s official instagram put out a message for the late NBA star.

Today, former Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard posted a photo of him holding up a shirt with Bryant, saying,”RIP Kobe”.

Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk tweeted a message out, paying his respects to Bryant.

“Speechless, heartbreaking! Our thoughts are with the Bryant Family in these horrible times. #MambaForever #Gigi

Mohammed Salah also mourned his loss on social media.

“My heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of Kobe and of those who died in the terrible accident,” Mo tweeted.

It is truly a day which every sport fan around the globe will remember.
