Asensio hasn’t been a regular starter for Real Madrid in season 2021-22.

Transfer news from Fichajes (h/t Daily Mail) reports that Liverpool are interested in Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio. The club is keen to bring a 25-year-old forward to Anfield. Asensio hasn’t been a regular starter for Real Madrid in season 2021-22. Marco Asensio scored a hat-trick against Mallorca this week.

The former Mallorca ace is a versatile player who can play as a winger and attacking midfielder. Sadio Mane has had a tough last season and this addition may boost the game of Liverpool.

The Spanish forward’s contract with La Liga giants will expire in two years. If Liverpool wants to take him for next summer then they have to pay a good price to bring this forward to Anfield. Marco Asensio has scored 3 goals in 6 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions this season. He has played for 141 minutes which equals a goal every 47 minutes.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old forward has linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the last transfer but the deal didn’t happen.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti also added on it, “It’s normal that those who aren’t playing aren’t happy. If Marco Asensio or Isco or Luka Jovic aren’t happy with not playing then that’s normal, that’s good.”
