Liverpool targets sensational £90 million move for AC Milan star Rafael Leão
Liverpool Football Club is said to be preparing a surprise bid for AC Milan attacker Rafael Leo. The 24-year-old Portuguese international has come out as a top target for the Reds, who see him as the ideal replacement to the dominant Sadio Mané.
Renowned journalist Francois Plateau has revealed that Liverpool is not only interested in Leo but is actively preparing a player-plus-cash deal to win his services.
The proposed transaction includes offering the excellent Luis Daz, who joined Liverpool from Porto in 2022 for a significant €45 million, as well as more cash to improve the bargain.
Leo’s position as one of the best wingers in the world has drawn the interest of many prominent European clubs.
Since joining AC Milan from Lille in 2019, he has scored 47 goals in 182 games across all competitions. Recognizing the potential in him, Liverpool is concerned to include him into their attacking squad.
The bold decision follows Leo’s contract extension with AC Milan last June, which stretched his commitment to the Rossoneri until 2028.
Despite the wealthy extension, Liverpool appears unconcerned prepared to make an attractive offer that might see the dynamic Rafael Leão wear the legendary red shirt.
Liverpool fans await confirmation of this strong bid for the £90 million-rated forward, expecting the injection of fresh talent to strengthen their attacking arsenal, as the football world stands by for a potential blockbuster transfer.
