Liverpool is presumably ready to make an £80 million bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s young star, Florian Wirtz, in an unusual attempt that will improve their attacking power. The 20-year-old German international has caught the interest of prominent teams around Europe, with Liverpool emerging as frontrunners in his pursuit.

According to Fichajes, Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing Wirtz, who generally plays in the coveted No. 10 position and has a knack for goal-scoring and playmaking. Despite having one of the Premier League’s most potent attacks, Liverpool is determined to strengthen its forward line for long-term success.

Wirtz, who has 12 international caps, has been an exceptional player for Bayer Leverkusen this season, contributing 16 goals in 14 games across all competitions. The teenager playmaker’s outstanding achievements have caught the interest of football giants such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

Liverpool’s purported £80 million proposal shows the club’s willingness to retain Wirtz despite heavy competition. With Klopp’s preferred tactical setup being the 4-3-3, Wirtz’s signing could potentially add a dynamic presence to the No. 10 spot, which has gotten sporadic attention since Philippe Coutinho’s left in 2018.

The Reds appear to be prepared to make a huge statement in the transfer market with the arrival of Florian Wirtz, as they want to further boost their attacking prowess.
