Diogo Jota is set to join the Reds and become the club’s third summer signing.
Liverpool is set to complete the £45million signing of Diogo Jota from Wolves.
The Portuguese star is going to become Liverpool’s third summer signing after Kostas Tsimikas and Thiago Alcantara.
The 23-year old is set to join on a five-year deal with the Reds and has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Premier League Champions.
The Portuguese forward had a superb spell with Wolves in the last two seasons scoring nine goals in the first season and seven in the second.
On the other hand, Dutch defender Ki-Jana Hoever is making a move in the opposite direction in a £10million deal as part of a separate deal despite them wanting to make it a part-exchange deal.
Jurgen Klopp earlier ruled out of any possible signings after the completion of the Thiago deal.
He said: “The window itself leaves the window open. It is open until October 6, so that is normal and was always the same.
“I cannot promise we will do something and I wouldn’t but I cannot say it is 100 per cent sure we don’t do anything.
“It’s the situation, it is developing a situation so anything could happen.
“If a player comes to me and asks me ‘Boss I want to go’ – I don’t expect that but it can happen – then we have to react.”
