Liverpool showing interest in Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount

Mason Mount will see his current contract expiring at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2024.

As per the fresh report of The Guardian, Liverpool are showing interest in Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount. It has been added that the Premier League giants are among the clubs hoping to acquire the services of the Englishman.

The 24-year-old is having a tough season at Chelsea as he has struggled to find consistency with his performances in the final third. Mount has scored three times and registered six assists in 27 matches for the West London club this season across various competitions.

The English sensation will see his current contract expiring at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2024. Thus, it makes sense for the Reds to engineer a move to sign him on the cheap at the end of this campaign.

Mount is a solid tackler of the ball and can lead the press well for his side in the opponent’s half. Mount mainly operates in the number ten position but can also function as a left-sided wide player or as a box-to-box midfielder if asked to do so.
