Mohamed Salah may miss Arsenal clash owing to injury according to reports
Nobody really likes to hear of any injuries, but for opposing fans such as Arsenal, it’s a boost of confidence if your opponent’s best players has to sit out of an upcoming game.
Liverpool are far from a one-man squad and will be expected to beat Arsenal on Wednesday night, but this might be made more difficult if Mohamed Salah is unable to participate.
According to the reports, he’s an injury doubt after skipping training, so even if he’s able to play, he won’t be at his best.
It’s thought to be the same foot issue that forced him off against Brighton, but this is a tough game for Jurgen Klopp’s team, and Manchester City’s draw with Crystal Palace tonight has opened the door even wider in the championship race.
Arsenal’s record against Liverpool hasn’t been great recently, and they were beaten 4-0 in a league game earlier in the season, but they’ve also improved since then, and Mikel Arteta will be hoping to take something from this and extend their hold on fourth place.
For title chasers, Liverpool may be missing out on their talisman and key player Mohamed Salah as they look to close the gap down.
