Liverpool stars to miss Atletico Madrid clash due to Covid-19 quarantine

They could now miss the game with Atletico Madrid if quarantine rules are enforced on them.

Liverpool will face Atletico Madrid in their next Champions League away fixture and they could be without key stars Alisson and Fabinho on October 19. Diego Simeone’s side faces the Premier League club for the first time since their March 2020 win at Anfield.

Both players have been called up for international action with Brazil next month. Brazil-Argentina encounter was abandoned after the pitch was invaded by Brazilian health officials citing a breach of Covid-19 guidelines in the country by UK based players on September 5.

Mundo Deportivo reports, the pair could now miss the game with La Liga reigning winner if quarantine rules are enforced on them. Liverpool may appeal against allowing players to join the Brazil squad.
