Liverpool still in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham

The 18-year-old just had a fantastic season at Signal Iduna Park, putting in some eye-catching displays in the heart of Dortmund’s midfield. In 44 games with his current employers last season, Bellingham scored six goals and added 14 assists across all fronts.

With an average of 1.6 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, 0.9 clearances, 1.4 shoots, 1.2 critical passes, and 1.7 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga, the England international had a strong influence on both ends of the field. In top-flight football, he was equally cautious when distributing the ball from midfield, completing 83.7 percent of his attempted passes.

Bellingham can offer solid defensive coverage for his teammates and is adept at pressuring the opposition in the middle of the field.

More significantly, the English adolescent understands how to find the back of the net and can even set up a few good opportunities for his teammates in the opposing half. The Bundesliga sensation is typically a centre midfielder, although he can also play on either wing if necessary.

Bellingham is a generational talent who has the potential to be a future European football great. As a result, the Reds would be wise to do all possible this off-season to secure the services of English talent. Bellingham might possibly be a long-term successor for Jordan Henderson.
