The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a summer exit

Liverpool have progressed well under Jurgen Klopp since he took over the charge of the club. It was clearly visible this term as they reached Champions League final but lost 3-1 to Real Madrid on Sunday.

The Reds have already completed the signing of Fabinho from Monaco few days ago and Naby Keita is set to arrive next month but Klopp is still looking to make more signings in order to strengthen the squad for next season.

One of the key areas the German coach is keen to reinforce is between the sticks. Since Simon Mignolet joined the club, he has often been criticized for his inconsistent performances and has fallen down the pecking order in recent months. He has been heavily linked with a summer move.

Loris Karius has been preferred ahead of the Belgian International. He has been in great form in recent months, keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding 17 goals in 20 appearances and helping the team to reach the Champions League final. But his poor performances in the Champions League final proved the Premier League giants need a world class goalkeeper next season.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Roma’s star Alisson Becker ahead of the summer transfer window.

He joined the Italian side from Inter Milan in the summer of 2016, signing a 5 year contract. He  spent the majority of that season as understudy to Polish international Wojciech Szczęsny, managing to make only 15 appearances in all competitions.

It has been a meteoric rise for the Brazilian who did not play a single game in Serie A in the 2016-2017 campaign before taking over as the undisputed No.1 last term. He has been very impressive for the club domestically and in Europe, keeping 22 clean sheets in 49 games for the club in all competitions.

The 25 year old’s excellent form caught the attention of clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window. Klopp especially is very keen to sign as he wants a new world class goalkeeper for next season.

The Serie A giants, though, have stated on a regular basis that they have no intention of sanctioning a sale. The Selecao star told he wants his future to be resolved before the start of the World Cup as he is eager to avoid any distractions in Russia.

And now Alisson has claimed that he is very happy at Roma and hinted that he will stay at Italy this summer.

“I’m focusing on my work with Brazil. People are taking care of other issues regarding Roma. Whatever happens will be for the best,” the 25-year-old told reporters as quoted by Goal.

“I try not to read the news so much. It helps not to read speculation. Nothing official has come my way. I have a contract with Roma.

“I’m very happy in Italian football, I’m very happy in Rome.”
