Liverpool and Manchester City are both interested in signing 17-year old Brazilian attacking midfielder Reinier.

Reinier is currently with Brazilian club Flamengo where he has impressed with the youth team. Despite not making a single appearance for the senior team, he is regarded to be one of the finest young talents in Brazil.

Reinier has also been pretty impressive for the Brazilian national youth teams. So far, he has netted 5 goals in 9 appearances in his youth international career.

The 17-year old has a contract at the club till 2020 but he can’t leave Flamengo until he turns 18 which is a little less than 6 months from now.

Manchester City and Liverpool are both keeping close tabs on Reinier and want to have an agreement with Flamengo to sign him when he turns 18 according to the Daily Mail.

The report from the Daily Mail also states that the likes of Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Everton and Barcelona are interested in Reinier.

Liverpool have some really good players in midfield at the moment but the one thing they are kissing is an attacking playmaker. The Reds haven’t had one since Philippe Coutinho. Having a player with attributes similar to those of Coutinho’s can really enhance Jurgen Klopp’s attack.
