Liverpool are ready to offer Jurgen Klopp a brand new contract to thwart interested parties.

The German gaffer was handed the mantle back in 2015 and has managed to establish Liverpool among the European elites. The Reds faltered in the Champions League final last season but are in contention for the prestigious trophy as they are scheduled to face Tottenham Hotspur in the final this time.

A Premier League title can also be wrapped on the final day of the season should Manchester City fail to defeat Brighton & Hove Albion. Klopp is reportedly being seen as a replacement for Juventus manager Max Allegri whose future remains in dark.

But the Reds hierarchy doesn’t want to take a risk and is willing to tie the manager to a brand new contract. The former Borussia Dortmund boss currently pockets around £7m per season and should he agree to new terms which are worth £8.8m he is due to be the second highest paid Premier League manager after Pep Guardiola.

Klopp’s ambitious project at Anfield has already reaped dividends and a new deal would only help him to enhance the quality of the squad.
