According to the Mirror, Liverpool are set to reignite interest in the Lyon talisman Nabil Fekir as a part of a “gentleman’s agreement” between the player and his current club president Jean-Michel Aulus. The player was on the verge of joining the Reds last summer and had even appeared for the medical. However, a finding in the eleventh hour halted the Reds from going through with the deal and the French midfield ace had to return to his old club.

However, it seems the move could be on again and the player might be finally ready to arrive at Anfield next summer. As per the report, the Frenchman has the aforementioned agreement in place and would be on his way to join the Reds next summer.

Liverpool are in the race to win the Premier League title and are vying with reigning champions Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp’s men are looking to end the season at the top of the table and then defend the title successfully next term. The addition of Fekir would definitely provide their midfield with an extra edge and it is to be seen whether the deal goes through or not.
