Liverpool views Danjuma as a potential long-term successor to Sadio Mane.

Liverpool are reportedly planning to scout Arnaut Danjuma during Villarreal’s Champions League fixture with Manchester United on Wednesday. Reds are interested in the 24-year-old player.

The Netherlands international linked up with Yellow Submarine earlier this summer in a £21m deal from Bournemouth. The former PSV starlet has scored three goals from six appearances in all tournaments this season. Danjuma’s contracts with Unai Emery’s side will expire in 2026.

Liverpool had previously planned a move for the 24-year-old earlier in the summer transfer window. Danjuma will be in action against Man United in the Champions League and Voetbal International reports that Liverpool is sending scouts to Old Trafford to watch the attacker.

The report says that Liverpool sees Danjuma as a potential long-term successor to Sadio Mane. Mane’s Anfield contract will expire in the summer of 2023.

The Netherlands international scored 15 goals and registered seven assists from 33 Championship games last season. Villarreal attacker made 14 appearances in the 2019-20 Premier League campaign.
