According to reports, Liverpool are set to make Kai Havertz their major target next summer. The German had a breakthrough season with Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 20 goals in 42 games for the club.
However, Havertz won’t come cheap, as Leverkusen are said to be asking £91m for his signature.
Liverpool will also face stiff competition from seven other clubs for his services, including four other Premier League clubs. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also interested in landing him.
If he leaves Germany, England and Spain are being touted as possible destinations for Havertz. The 20-year-old doesn’t have Italy or France on his wishlist, apparently.
Some reports suggest that he could join Spanish giants Barcelona since he is a boyhood fan of the Blaugrana. However, it remains to be seen if Barcelona will be able to afford a deal for him knowing that they are currently trying to engineer a move for Neymar.
