1. European Champions Clubs’ Cup Final, 1977
Venue: Stadio Olimpico, Rome
Liverpool 3-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Liverpool won the first of their six European Cups on 25 May 1977 by defeating Monchengladbach 3-1 in Rome. Terry McDermott, Tommy Smith and Phil Neal were on target for the Reds against the German side.

2. European Champions Clubs’ Cup Final, 1978
Venue: Wembley Stadium, London
Liverpool 1-0 Club Brugge

Sir Kenny Dalgish scored in the 64th minute against Brugge as the Reds lifted the Cup for a 2nd-time consecutively.

3. European Champions Clubs’ Cup Final, 1981
Venue: Parc des Princes, Paris
Liverpool 1-0 Real Madrid

Kennedy scored the sole goal of the game in the 81st min to win the title for Liverpool in Paris.

4. European Champions Clubs’ Cup Final, 1984
Venue: Stadio Olimpico, Rome
Liverpool 1-1 AS Roma (won 3-2 on penalties)

Neal opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 14th min. Roma equalised through Pruzzo in the 43rd min. The game ended 1-1 and it went to penalties. Liverpool won the penalties by 3-2.

5. European Champions Clubs’ Cup Final, 1985
Venue: King Baudouin Stadium, Belgium
Juventus 1-0 Liverpool

Liverpool were defending champions and were heavy favourites to retain the trophy. But Juventus skinned past Liverpool thanks to Platini’s penalty in Brussels to lift the trophy.

6. UEFA Champions League Final, 2005
Venue: Ataturk Olimpiyat Stadium, Istanbul
Liverpool 3-1 AC Milan (won 3-2 on penalties)

Liverpool, who beat AC Milan on penalties in the final, having come back from 3–0 down. Steven Gerrard was named as UEFA’s Footballer of the Year for his key role in the final and throughout the Champions League season. The final is often regarded as one of the best in the history of the tournament and is still cherished by many Liverpool fans.

Venue: OACA Spyros Louis Stadium, Athens
Liverpool 1-2 AC Milan

Milan avenged their 2005 defeat in Istanbul with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in Athens. Inzaghi scored a brace for Milan and Kuyt scored Liverpool’s sole goal.

Real Madrid 3-1 Liverpool

Real Madrid won the Champions League for the third consecutive time by beating Liverpool 3-1 in Kyiv. Mane scored the only goal for the Reds.
