According to various reports, Manchester United and Liverpool are set to battle out for Thomas Müller in the January transfer window. Liverpool & United in pursuit of German star.
The German International has been warming the bench since the arrival of Philippe Coutinho. Reports suggest that he’s frustrated with the lack of playing time and is open to a move away from the Bundesliga giants. Reports also suggest that Coutinho could be key to Liverpool’s transfer business in January – because he is pushing Thomas Muller out of the Bayern Munich team. Liverpool & United in pursuit of German star.
According to The Mirror, both Man United and Liverpool will look to take advantage of Müller’s situation when the window opens.
Manchester United desperately need attackers after Lukaku & Sanchez’s departure last window. They lack experience upfront and that has been the reason for their woeful start this season. Liverpool on the other hand, once tried to sign Müller in 2017. Klopp had interest in the German star but the transfer was unsuccessful.
But it would make more sense for United to be after him considering they need a forward.
It says a lot that #LFC probably wouldn’t touch Muller now because they have a player who can do what he can, and a little bit more. https://t.co/kNuoeuHekL

Müller would only be a backup at Anfield. So less likely that Liverpool would be in for him. He’s actually still very good. Not saying it should be Müller but Liverpool do need a true striker.
