Liverpool Want £20m For Marko Grujic But Klopp Wants To Keep Him

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are at odds over the future of Marko Grujic.

The Anfield hierarchy wants to sell him for upwards of £20m but Klopp wants to incorporate him in his plans next season.

Grujic was Klopp’s first signing as a Liverpool manager. He came in from Red Star Belgrade but never got to break through to the senior side. He spent the past two seasons out on loan to Hertha Berlin to greatly impress in the Bundesliga. It is no secret that plenty of German clubs want him including Hertha.

Liverpool’s ownership wants to move on from the player permanently and not indulge in anymore loan deals. Klopp, on the other hand, would like to see Grujic get a second chance in a Liverpool jersey. He badly wants to revamp his midfield setup and who better to fill in than one of his most admirable young talents.

Grujic is still only 24 years old. Having established himself to a certain degree in the Bundesliga, he might be ready for the challenges in England. Lazio, Borussia Monchengladbach and Hertha are vying for his signature this summer but his chances at a Liverpool future could very well come true.

Of course, it all could depend on whether Liverpool will end up signing Thiago. The Bayern Munich ace is strongly being linked to the Reds and has even demanded a transfer, as per reports.
