Former Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce has gone on record to say that Liverpool will comfortably with the Premier League title this season.
Jurgen Klopp and co are still unbeaten in the league after nine games, relishing a comfortable six-point lead at the top of the table. Meanwhile, defending champions City have suffered due to injuries and are trying to claw back at their rivals.
“I’m not sure they’ll go unbeaten, but I can’t see them losing more than two games. They’re still clear favourites,” Pearce said.
“Those could be against Manchester City, potentially, but if you go into the game against your nearest rivals with a six-point buffer, it will put real pressure on Man City to come out and play.”
“That might just suit Liverpool.”
