Caoimhin Kelleher has made only eight appearances in the 2021/22 season.

The Irish goalkeeper will be playing Ukraine in the first home game of the UEFA Nations League campaign on Wednesday night.

He is currently Liverpool’s second-choice goalkeeper and has started in the final of the Carabao Cup against Chelsea.

He kept a clean sheet in the game and also converted the decisive penalty in a nail-biting shoot-out.

He became the first Irishman to win a major English trophy since James McCarthy’s FA Cup win in 2013.

The 23-year-old revealed that he will have a discussion with Merseyside club regarding his future following the international break.

“I’m not sure on what’s happening yet,” Kelleher told reporters.

“I’m still finishing this season and then we will have conversations after that to see what happens.

“Obviously, I need to play these few games and see what happens with these and maybe decide after that.”
