Liverpool's Premier League title in danger - fans to miss out on the historic win

Liverpool are closing in on a historic 19th League title.

The Reds are inching closer to their first Premier League title. Their last league triumph came all the way back in 1989.

The Reds have won 27, drawn 1 and lost 1 – gathering 82 points in the league so far. They are 25 points ahead of second placed Manchester City, having played a game more and know that two more wins will mathematically confirm the obvious, a league title in 2019-20 season.

However, that match is far away on 5th April and there is a new epidemic in Europe – the coronavirus.

Hence, with leagues getting banned and sports ministries banning stadiums from gathering of fans, Liverpool might have to play their next matches behind closed doors.

This would mean that Anfield, a stadium known for its fan ferocity would not be able to welcome its players and create the atmosphere the club has been craving for 30 years in anticipation of a league title.

It is indeed extremely sad news for every Merseyside Liverpool fan who have probably lost the best chance to watch their club lift the trophy with full redemption after having to suffer for almost close to 3 decades.
