Manchester United Take Out Liverpool In Race For Jadon Sancho

According to the recent reports, Manchester United are leading the race for Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho but how?

Liverpool and Chelsea are also chasing a summer deal for the Bundesliga sensation.

Jurgen Klopp has praised Sancho’s talents and John Terry has already urged his former side to break the bank for him. The Blues are more than capable of splashing the cash after hardly spending anything in transfers this season. Liverpool could also offer him a lucrative path out of BVB, given their status of an European powerhouse.

However, reports claim that United could steal Sancho right under the noses of their rivals. The England international has been directly involved in 31 Bundesliga goals this season, attracting all the big names from the Premier League. Dortmund are aware of the demand for Sancho and are hence, asking for over £120m in return.

Liverpool will struggle to stump up that amount of cash while United won’t. Ed Woodward has shown time and time again, how willing he and the club is in signing top talents, no matter the cost.

Just this past season, the Red Devils spent over £250m to bring in Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James. Sancho could be one to tie the entire attack line together under Ole Solskjaer. Other than possessing all the talent in the world, Sancho ticks the very basic requirements of the Norwegian boss – young, hungry and coachable.

While United can promise Sancho regular playing time, Liverpool can’t. Jurgen Klopp’s current front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are virtually irreplaceable after two consecutive successful seasons.
