Mohamed Salah has not been approached with a contract extension just yet.
Liverpool has the forward on their books until June 2023.
He has been pushing for a new deal but nothing has materialized just yet. The Egyptian is one of Liverpool’s highest-paid players and quite deservedly so. He has led the club’s scoring ever since he came into the club in 2018.
Salah was once again about his contract situation at Anfield to which he said, “No one is talking to me about anything, so I can’t say much about that. No one in the club is talking to me about anything so I do not know.”
The 28-year-old laughed when he passed those comments, suggesting he might not to be worried about the situation. Fans expect Liverpool to sort out the situation this very summer and the speculation can be put to bed.
Otherwise, rumours have emerged of Salah possibly leaving camp and joining with any of the other European giants. Real Madrid was thought to be his next destination but The Galacticos are currently focusing on other targets.
Plus, they already signed Eden Hazard in the summer of 2019 for an exhorbitant sum of money. It is unlikely that Salah will go for any less.
