Naby Keita, a midfielder for Liverpool, has been made available to Serie A winners Milan, but they have yet to initiate negotiations with the player
According to Daniele Longo, Keita is almost certainly going to depart Liverpool in the summer after a miserable tenure there. The midfielder is scouting his surroundings and considering his choices in an effort to recapture his RB Leipzig-era spark.
The midfielder has expressed interest in playing in Serie A recently, and his entourage has made an approach to Milan. There are presently no open discussions, but there are two causes for this. Milan questions his physical fitness and thinks his salary expectations are excessive.
He has a better chance of joining Inter than Milan because Piero Ausilio is rumoured to be a fan of the player. The possibility of Inter making a bid for the former Leipzig player is still open.
Keita joined Liverpool for £52.75 million in 2018, but his form has been terrible ever since. In five years, he has made just 127 appearances for the team, with nearly half of those coming off the bench.
According to The Mirror via Liverpool Echo, Milan are prepared to make their move to persuade Keita to join the team. The midfielder is anticipated to depart the Reds for free in the summer.
