Naby Keita could make his return during the international break.

The 27-year-old midfielder is yet to make an appearance this season as he is nursing a hamstring injury.

Liverpool have been struggling with injuries in the midfield department and have forcibly signed Juventus star Arthur Melo on a season-long loan deal.

Keita was not included in the Champions League squad due to his hamstring injury but he was surprisingly named in the Guinea squad for the upcoming international break.

Guinea manager Kaba Diawara believes Keita would be ready to make his return later this month.

“Naby Keita is injured and he is recovering from his injury,” Diawara said. “His situation is improving and he is even ahead of schedule.

“We took a group of 24 players precisely to give him a chance to be able to count on him because he is a very important player for us, on and off the pitch, he is our captain.”
