Darwin Nunez has informed Napoli that he is prepared to depart Liverpool this summer, but the Italian team is prepared to wait for the Reds to lower their asking price of £70 million.

After making just eight Premier League starts as the Dutchman won the title in his first season as manager, Nunez, a 26-year-old Benfica acquisition, has concluded that he has no future at Anfield under Arne Slot.

He has authorized Napoli to reach a deal with Liverpool; however, the Italian champions feel that a transaction of about £50 million would be a reasonable amount for all parties.

With Slot’s sights set on introducing a new striker to his team who can consistently provide more goals, they are ready to watch how the summer transfer market plays out in Newcastle. Although they will cost a lot of money, the Liverpool manager admires both Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak of Eintracht Frankfurt.

Darwin Nunez says yes to Liverpool exit

Nunez will find a new home with Napoli, according to a recent update from FootItalia. “Napoli is now set to land Nunez for €50 million—€43 million upfront and €7 million in bonuses—after Liverpool first demanded €60 million for him,” they said.

That would currently be equivalent to £42.6 million in pounds sterling (£36.6 million plus £6 million in add-ons). Ahead of their return to the Champions League and Serie A championship defense, Napoli is now on their own spending binge.

Nunez would take Osimhen’s place and contend for starts with Romelu Lukaku. After reaching a personal agreement with the Dutchman, Napoli intends to proceed with a deal for PSV Eindhoven’s Noa Lang in exchange for Kvaratskhelia’s left flank position.

But Napoli’s expenditures won’t stop there, as the article goes on to say Conte also wants Federico Chiesa.
