Chamberlain will see his contract expiring at the Merseyside in the summer.
A fresh report from the Daily Mail, Newcastle United are eyeing a move for Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
It has been reported that Newcastle are showing interest in recruiting English talent in the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot in Jurgen Klopp’s first XI. He has found the back of the net just once in 12 appearances for the Reds this season in all competitions.
The England international will see his contract expiring at the Merseyside in the summer. Thus, Newcastle United could sign him on a free transfer at the end of this campaign.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is a decent dribbler with the ball as well but is in dire need of finding more consistency with his contributions in the final third.
He is 29 and he is in his prime but has got a poor injury history. Still, he will be available on a free transfer and would undoubtedly add more depth to the Tyneside club‘s squad.
