Odegaard snubbed Liverpool in summer 2019

Liverpool tried last summer but failed to secure the signature of Martin Odegaard, according to The Sun.

Former Russia coach Leonid Slutsky, now Rubin Kazan’s coach, told the English press that Odegaard refused Jurgen Klopp to join Real Madrid.

“There have been offers from several clubs, Liverpool have seriously tried to persuade him to come to the Premier League, but he turned down the offer, he wants to play for Real Madrid in the future,” Slutsky said.

Odegaard is 21 years old, currently on loan at Real Sociedad, scoring 4 goals in 22 games. In 2015, at the age of only 16, he came to Real Madrid for 3 million euros and did not get a real chance, but works patiently and is waiting for an opportunity to prove himself.
