Cardiff City seals loan deal for 23-year old Liverpool midfielder Harry Wilson.

Liverpool wanted to offload the 23-year old Welsh midfielder all summer but the £20m asking price proved too high.

He has been surplus in Liverpool’s current squad and has made only one Carabao Cup start so far in 2020/21.

The 23-year old has previously had loan spells playing for Hull City and Derby County and also had thrived last season with Bournemouth who got relegated to the Championship.

The Bluebirds are paying a £1.2m loan fee for the Welsh midfielder and will be covering his full wages.

“I’m looking forward to getting started here,” the Wales international told cardiffcityfc.co.uk.

“We had a few clubs enquire about me but as soon as I heard Cardiff were interested it was a place I wanted to come.

“The Welsh connection was a massive part for me. When I come here, I feel at home. I think the team and facilities we have, everything is built for a Premier League team.

“I’m determined to come here and do my best to help the club get there.”
