OFFICIAL: Liverpool Winger Joins Bournemouth On Season-Long Loan

Liverpool have officially announced the departure of Harry Wilson on a season-long loan to AFC Bournemouth.

Jurgen Klopp views the Welshman as a promising youth product but unfortunately, cannot offer him the playing time he wants. The Reds are fully stacked with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Xherdan Shaqiri, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in their wide midfield positions.

Earlier it was reported that Liverpool valued Wilson at £25m although they never received a clear cut offer to buy. Bournemouth have instead, paid £2.5m in loan fees and can end up paying a further £500,000 based on performance-related bonuses.

Wilson was star figure for Derby County last season, helping them make a deep run for promotion under Frank Lampard. He scored 18 goals and racked up 6 assists in 49 appearances.

The left-footed winger has really come a long way in his development and is starting to exude the confidence of a quality professional. Liverpool have done well to not add a buy-back clause into his loan agreement.

If he does do well with the Cherries, his value can double next season and the Reds can either keep him or sell him for a ridiculous amount of profit.
