Ozan Kabak Backed To Succeed For Liverpool

Liverpool legend Didi Hamann believes Ozan Kabak will come good in the Premier League.

Didi Hamann’s opinions are well known across the fans to be pessimistic and hard-hitting.

However, for some reason, he feels optimistic about Kabak’s move to Anfield. Liverpool have run out of centre-backs this season and has been forced to play Fabinho and Jordan Henderson in deputised roles multiple times.

Jurgen Klopp first lost Vigil van Dijk to a horrific tackle from Jordan Pickford. Then Joe Gomez tore his patella tendon and now, Joel Matip is also out for the season. That leaves Liverpool with just Kabak, another January signing, Ben Davies, Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams as the heart of their defence.

“He is a physical player, loves to wrestle and [England] will suit him better than the Bundesliga,” Didi said. “He’s very capable, I like him. Ozan can be a bit rash but he is good enough to step up even though he’s young.”

Kabak earned rave reviews during his emergence in Germany. He featured heavily for FC Schalke even through their horrific run in the past year. At 20, he has the ceiling to reach the top if he takes his chances properly.
