Pep Guardiola has taken a dig at Liverpool insisting Jurgen Klopp’s side has no pressure in the title race which is a massive advantage.

Manchester City reclaimed their top spot as they defeated Leicester City 1-0 in a very tight encounter. Vincent Kompany perhaps scored the most important goal his career as his long range screamer beat Foxes keeper Kasper Schmeichel at the stroke of 70  minutes.

The Sky Blues are adrift of just a solitary point from second placed Liverpool and the cannot afford any slip ups in the last match. At 95 points City are scheduled to travel to Brighton &Hove Albion who already have confirmed their Premier League status for another season.

Guardiola insists the pressure is on the Sky Blues as they have the onus to retain their title. “Liverpool play without pressure because they know it is not in their hands. It is easy.

“We have the pressure.”

“Burnley – we didn’t concede one corner, one shot on target, we controlled the game. We were much better than the opponents,

“Sometimes you need a goal like Vinnie today.”
