Pep Guardiola shows respect to Liverpool after Manchester derby win

Liverpool is the toughest squad Pep Guardiola has ever faced in his managerial career.

The Cityzens thumped the Red Devils in a 4-1 win which looked like a one-sided affair in favour of Guardiola’s men.

The win makes them six points clear of Liverpool in the Premier League table.

Guardiola reiterates that Liverpool are the toughest opponent he ever faced in his managerial career.

The Spaniard said to Sky Sports: “Hopefully we can say we are a pain in the a** for Liverpool too.

“I said many times the success as a manager is the fact that year after year we still run like we are there to win again, even after three titles.

“We remain humble and continue to play every single game, do it and be there, these guys have done it many, many times.

“To fight with them (Liverpool) is one of the biggest achievements of my career. They are outstanding.

“Liverpool are the toughest opponent I have ever faced in my 12-13 years as a manager.”
